HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Halloween seemed to fly by as always! Jas and I set up our traditional cobwebs, headstones, spiders, pumpkins and skeletons. We had the annual ward carnival (in which we host), parties such as pumpkin carving at the Billings (in which we attempted to carve our favorite Presidential nominees of John McCain and Sara Palin),
performances at school and of course trick or treating.

Every year before we trick or treat, the Hughes and Arenas' rent a huge blow-up slide and host an awesome party with food and great friends! We then run off to our own neighborhoods to knock on doors and get lots of candy... or in one house's case... money! Unfortunately, we missed the first round of trick or treating with the neighbors, so I took Raegan, Kye and a couple of their friends on a second tour. It was a beautiful night with perfect weather. The girls did not want to stop. If it weren't for my crazy bowels, we might have gone on all night! Meanwhile, holding down the fort was Jason... His ultimate goal this year was to scare the crap out of any kid (age did not matter... no child was exempt) that came trick or treating at our home. He had his friend, Nate Osbourne, come over with his "Leanord" mask and ax. With music and lighting, I must say, it was beyond creepy. We had teenagers scared as they came up to the house to grab candy from the bowl at the bottom of Leanord's feet... then all of a sudden he would stand up and kids would spill over bushes, steps and each other to get away. Leanord walked dragging his foot and ax behind him. Poor Kylee and Jaida were terrified. They did not want to come home. In fact, Kylee slept with us for a couple nights. Way to go Jason. Mission accomplished.

Leonard did a great job - I thought our street was so fun, once I got Luke to realize he was just wearing a mask. We waited for you to come with on our first round and kept wondering where you were - it wasnt the same without you! Thanks for taking Abby and Maddyn for a marathon night!

Christopher had made up his mind before we even got out of the car that he wanted nothing to do with the "scary guy" on your porch. But...the surprise of the night Emily was the most brave! It was a fun BEAUTIFUL night.
