In October, Kylee was supposed to receive an award for knowing all 100 of her 1st grade words! Small problem... she forgot to tell me until two minutes before school was starting. AND we were running late! We hurried as fast as we could but did not get there in time. In fact, we just barely missed it at Friday Flag Salute. :( Kylee was so sad and started to cry. This would have been her first award for the year!
My heart broke.
Kylee's teacher, Mrs. Griffis, saw what happened and said we could do it again next month! How nice. A second chance. Kye was EARLY that day to school with both Jas and I there to cheer her on! And it was her day... not only did she get her 100 words Award, but also two other awards!
Score!
She was so happy! It definitely made all of our day!
