WHO ROCKS? REDHAWK!

Thought it would be fun to play a little friendly football. Made a few calls, had a few practices and won our very first game! Who said girls can't play football?
Presenting...
Redhawk Ward's Powder Puff Team!
From Left: Daphenie Baugh, Sydney Carpenter, Krista Tenney, Dyana Getti, Brandy Trevino, Jen Fifield, Rachel Gharring, Laura Tenney, Kristen Child, Michelle Johnson
Missing? Tasha Tenney
First things first. War Paint.

Uniforms.

Nicknames.

And our awesome QB, Kristen!

We all were a little nauseous before the game so Coach Chad gave us a little pep talk and a few game plays and we were ready to go!

Who said this was for fun?

Ready? Break!
We left the huddle ready and willing.

Go Me! I caught the first interception of the game!

And of course, had to do my victory dance...

There was a lot of team comradery as we discussed plays and ideas and strategies.

Our two smallest members of our team were our linebackers. We'll mix it up a little more next time!

"Your Goin' Down!" Shouts Rachel to the opposing team.
There's nothing like a little competitive sport to get the adrenaline pumping.

Daphenie ready to make a run for it!
One alligator, Two alligator, Three alligator...

Nice Form.
Kristen ready to make a throw!

Brandy gets the ball and off she goes! She Scores! Touchdown!
They don't call her Flinstone for nothing. The girl can run!

Rachel giving us some blocking tips...

Looks like a sneaky play if you ask me!

Laura takes a run with the ball.

We take a quick breather.

Redhawk means business!

Huddle back up...

And receive a few more strategic plays.

Who Rocks? Redhawk!

I believe this was another interception done by Michelle!

Michelle held her own out there.

Another interception done by Tasha!

An almost awesome play until someones long legs tripped the quarterback!
guilty

We spent a little time on the turf. It's no fun till someone gets dirty!
I was so close to getting a touchdown. :( Missed it by a foot! I was in the end zone but had to reach out to retrieve the ball.
Bummer.

Sydney and Krista
Contemplating our next move...

Brandy was not about to let anyone get by! Nice defending, Flinstone.
Can you tell who's about to get the ball? (hee, hee)

Rachel scored the most beautiful touchdown of the day! She literally jumped into the air, finger tipped the ball and then cradled it as it landed into her arms. All it took was two long strides and she was home free in the end zone! Nice.

One of the two very controversial plays of the day! I could have sworn I only had her belt... I plead the fifth. (I guess that's what you get for sewing your flags onto your belts!) I was not about to let go, that's for sure! Ann dragged me almost a yard... but I got the whole belt!

The final score: Redhawk 21 - Butterfield 7

Team Photo

We're #1!
Sweet Victory!!!

Even after all of that...
we still got love for eachother!
Good game Butterfield Babes... way to take a whoopin'! ;)

I'll have some of your pics to my blog now. Although my nice "stretching" picture of me is a little lame. Sorry. So much fun, Jen! You're awesome and an awesome friend :)

Yes..the pictures are great! Who was taking them. I guess I was so focused (hee hee) that I didn't even recognize the paparazzi. Thanks for always coming up with this fun stuff. My lazy body thanks you too..it needed a big kick in the pants to get up and moving! This is so much more fun than going to the gym!

ok...I totally will take your suggestion and form a team...but we have got to play someone else at least once, so we can have one under our belt like you guys...It was fun to watch you, I did feel like I was an idiot sometimes, watching like a little sister wanting to play...ha ha

Yeah, Redhawk rocked the house! Those pictures are so awesome. Thanks for getting that together. I had such a great time, although, it would have been nice to have our passing game show up! :)

I don't care what anyone else says, I like my games a little rough. You guys can grab our pants off any time you want!

We want a rematch!!

Nice pictures!
You look like female versions of the "All Blacks"! I doubt there is anyone in the Stake that can beat you!
YES! SF was super fun and reminded me so much of the city I grew up in with the trams and everything, only SF is 10X bigger. Loved it!
