PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN

Our family celebrates 4th of July every year with barbecue and fireworks!
This year, we once again attempted another new location. We celebrated with the Downs Family as well as the Wallwork Family!

We get to the park around 7 p.m. and have a few hours to wait. It was nice having the extra lighting so the kids could roam and play. Even the dads got in the action. We built a pyramid, had our own little hand held noise makers and poppers and even watched the men do tricks!
Glen and Paul did backflips!
Then the firework display begins!
This year, luckily, people had hand held radios and we could hear the music being played as the fireworks lit the sky overhead.
The music is a definite must. We learned last year... it is not the same without it!
The kids and parents are always exhausted by this point... but the wait is worth it!

Raegan and Emry enjoying the show.

The perfect picture.
It doesn't come around too often.
Kye has a fear of loud noises and had been plugging her ears. Raegan, being the big brave sister that she is, got up and sat by her... putting her arm around her to comfort her.
What a sweet moment.
I am so glad they have eachother.

I am so thankful to be healthy, happy, with the one's that I love and adore in a land that is so blessed and free!

wow that last picture is definitely priceless. I have to agree with the music thing - the last few years we haven't had it and it makes the biggest difference - next year I will learn from you!
